DESIGN OPERATIONS
The client needed a two-fold solution to solve complex design challenge. The approached included a deep dive into existing and needed skill sets, an evaluation of current design practices and building out of a centralized design system practice.
The first task was a thorough audit of team strengths and existing processes to map skill gaps and align team roles with needs to be filled. This process allowed us to deliver not only a development plan for the existing team, but a roadmap to grow the team into a bestiin-class design and UX team.
Additionally a process audit revealed the need for contralized documentation and tools. This solutions implemented included the design and launch of a custom design system meeting needs for both creative and development teams to improve consistency across the multiple platforms that both teams work to produce. A thorough audit of the UI libraries and annotation of areas of overlap or unique use-cases allowed us to improve the cohesive presentation of the brand across channels as well as develop a unique use case for the elements when needed. Working closely to accomdate the developement teams, we provided a solution that houses reusable code while still preserving the unique experiences of each environment.
